Innovation is often viewed as the simple task of creating a solution to a problem, through the application of an idea.
In practice Innovation within business is often a complex process that requires a structured approach to ensure commercially viable solutions.
To achieve this it is critical to understand the issue, or more simply "the question", facing the business. Blue Ocean Consulting is experienced in working with a range of stakeholders to help fully characterise the problem. The nominal approach to innovation projects utilised by Blue Ocean Consulting is illustrated below. The process draws on experience as an Innovation Manager, and also on the "Design in Innovation" process promoted by Innovate UK.
